
Keralathile Pakshikal (Birds of Kerala), from K. K. Neelakantan or 'Induchoodan', first published in 1958 is considered to be a classic in Malayalam. Described with illustrations of 261 birds found in Kerala, it is considered a unique work on ornithology among Indian languages.
In 1963, 'Keralathile Pakshikal' was one among the three titles that were selected from India at the Indian Exhibition at Moscow.
